Billing
and Collection Agent
PA-American Water Company is the billing and collecting agent
for the wastewater charges. The wastewater fees are listed
separately under the heading "Current Wastewater Charges -
Cecil Township" on the PA-American monthly water bill.
All bills are due and payable to the PA-American Water Company
by the due date. Wastewater charges not paid by the due date
will be accessed a penalty fee of 1.50 percent.
Minimum Service Charge - This is a flat fee of $8.75
per month charged to all customers. This charge covers the
cost of repairs and maintenace of the collection
system and treatment plants and administration.
Sewer Use Charge - This portion is based on the amount
of water consumed during the billing period. It is billed
at the rates quoted below for every 1000 gallons of water
consumed. The Authority bills are based on PA-American Water
Company meter readings.
Debt Service Fee
A monthly charge of $11.25 to cover principal and interest on bond issues, monies used to construct the Millers Run System and only applies to the Millers Run customers.
Residential Wastewater Rates
The base rate consists of a $8.75 per month base charge plus
a $7.25 per thousand gallon of water consumption.

Attention
Water Customers: If you have set up a payment agreement
with PA-American Water Company, please note that the arrangement
is for the water portion of your bill, not the
wastewater charges. Customers should continue to pay the wastewater
portion of the bill every month, preferably to the Cecil Township
Municipal Authority office.
